Games Compatibility
It's almost impossible to test all the games on every type of PC
or PDA so sometimes incompatibilities crop up. Whenever a problem
is reported, it gets fixed right away! If a problem cant be fixed,
it will be listed on this page. There is not much to say regarding
problems but here a guide to the system requirements and some
extra info for Pocket PC users.
Windows Games Compatibility
All games should work on any PC that runs Windows 98, Windows ME,
Windows 2000 or Windows XP. You will also need DirectX 7.0 (or newer)
installed. All current versions of Windows will have the required
DirectX installed so it's unlikely you'll have a problem here.
In addition to the above software requirements you will need a DirectX
compatible Sound Card and Graphics Card. The recommended CPU is 400Mhz
or faster. If your PC is less than 3 years old, you should not have
to worry about any of these requirements.
So far the games have not been tested with Tablet PC's but there
is little doubt they will work fine. However, the game controls
might be a little strange with a stylus. If you have a Tablet PC
and would like to help with a Tablet PC based optimizing, please
mail us! It may
be a simple matter of copying the Pocket PC stylus input mode
over to Tablet PC.
Pocket PC Games Compatibility
The Pocket PC games require a Color Pocket PC running Pocket PC 2000,
Pocket PC 2002 or newer. The games will work with ARM, MIPS, SH3
and XScale CPU's. A 200Mhz CPU is recommended but the games will run
on any CPU. The games take up a very small amount of space but
installing to a Storage Card is both possible and recommended.
All games use the Microsoft Game API (GAPI.) This should already be
installed on your Pocket PC by default so it is unusual to have any
problems here. Please refer to the FAQ for
GAPI assistance.
The Pocket PC games were developed and tested using a Compaq iPAQ H3850
and a Toshiba e310. Here, you can see a list of devices that are known
to be fully compatible with the games. This list is not complete,
it only contains devices that have been reported to work. The games
should work on any modern Color Pocket PC, if you find an
exception to this rule please mail us!
