PegIt Instructions
Quick Instructions
PegIt is easy to learn. You're given a level with a number of 'PegIts' (Funny
yellow haired jumping people!) and a certain number of 'Jumps'. Your aim
is to remove all the PegIts from the game using these jumps. When one
PegIt jumps over a second PegIt, the second PegIt is removed from the game.
If only one PegIt remains, it is also removed from the game and the level
is completed. The game gets a little more complicated with the introduction
of some special objects (explained later.)
The PegIts can only jump in 4 directions and always jump over one space. Usually
a PegIt will jump over another PegIt but it is not important. A PegIt can never
land on top of another PegIt! The picture on the right shows a selected PegIt and
3 possible jumps (Up, Left, Down) marked by a white markers. The 4th direction
(Right) is not allowed because there is no empty space!

Game Objects
The game levels feature various objects that can help or hinder you. The
objects have certain key features for example the See-Saw's and Trampolines
allow you to jump over two PegIts in one move! The Teleports and Shifters
allow you to move around the level in unusual ways. The Bombs and Holes
offer an alternative method of clearing the PegIts. The Boxes, Blockers
and Bulbs can obstruct your movement and so on. The objects are explained here...
|
| The Blocker
A PegIt can not usually jump over or land on a Blocker. See the Box object for the exception.
|
| Trampoline
If you jump on a Trampoline the PegIt will make a second jump allowing you
to potentially jump over two PegIts at a time. It's also possible to bounce
onto a second Trampoline and so on.
|
| Direction
The Directions are very similar to the Trampolines except they
propel the PegIt in a fixed direction based on the chevron symbol.
|
| See-Saw
A See-Saw can be used to propel other PegIts! Just try it out!
|
| The Hole
A PegIt will fall down a hole and is removed from the game. This is a good thing!
|
| Teleport
Teleports always come in pairs of a matching color (for example, two pink Teleports.)
If a PegIt lands on a teleport it gets transported to another Teleport of the same colour.
|
| The Box
A Box can be used to jump over a Blocker! The rule to understand with
the Box is it raises a PegIt up to a higher level. This is how it can
jump over a Blocker. However, other PegIts (standing on the floor) are
unable to jump over a PegIt that is standing on a Box. This can be
a little confusing but you will understand with practice.
|
| Shifter
If a PegIt lands on a Shifter it gets shifted one place to the left!
|
| Bomb + Button
Position PegIts on top of the Bombs. Then Navigate another PegIt to jump onto a
Button and watch the PegIts explode! (Don't worry! It's just a harmless special effect!)
Bombs are a sneaky way to remove more PegIts!
|
| Light Bulbs
PegIts can jump over the Bulbs but can not stand on them!
|
| Timeslip
The Timeslip is like a cross between the Teleport and the Trampoline. If a
PegIt jumps into the Timeslip, it will get transported to another Timeslip
and jump back out! Like Teleports, Timeslips come in pairs of a particular
color. Try it out for yourself!
